A Glan-y-Mor Creation
Glan-y-Mor is essentially a beach house, in an elevated position overlooking the harbour beach it has direct access to the beach via stone and wooden beach steps. We enjoy far reaching views across the bay to Harlech and Barmouth. When there are spring tides the water can reach the wall below the house so it gives the impression of being right on the edge of the sea.
We use the terraces and decking as an extension to the house and spend as much time as possible outside for breakfast, lunch, sundowners, cocktails and BBQs.
The terrace in front of the sitting room, has the sun in the morning and is perfect for morning coffee and watching the boats launching along the beach.
There are two wooden tables, 8 chairs, 1 bench and 2 director chairs which can be used separately or together to easily accommodate 10-14 and large drum barbecue for outside dining.
To accommodate any type of weather there is a sun umbrella and chiminea to take the chill off cooler evenings.
The decking at the end of the terrace gives a further elevated view of the beach but is perfect for private sunbathing and catches the sun till late afternoon. There are 4 sun loungers and a coffee table.
There are two cold water taps on the terrace to the kitchen and around the back of the house for washing off sandy feet and beach gear.
